To protect the health and safety of the community, the Waterway Protection Tunnel requires some temporary road and partial lane closures during the construction phase.
Here’s what you’ll need to know:
Drivers will see lane reductions on Fifth and Sixth streets due to sewer line work
Both Fifth and Sixth streets in the Main Street area will have lane reductions as part of sewer line work to make connections for MSD’s Waterway Protection Tunnel. Access to all parking garages in the area will be maintained.
Additionally, Fourth Street will reopen to northbound only traffic on August 6. It will remain northbound through November 30.
WHEN and WHERE:
July 30 – November 30, 2018
Fifth Street will have one northbound lane between Main and Market streets beginning July 30 and remain one lane through November 30, 2018.
Access to the Fifth Street entrance of the PNC Tower Garage and ATM will remain open during the lane reduction.
Sixth Street will have one southbound lane between Main and West Washington streets beginning August 6, and remain one lane through November 30, 2018.
Patrons will access the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts Garage, Muhammad Ali Center Garage and the Riverfront Garage on Sixth Street via River Road.
