Interested in a career in the utilities sector?
Then plan to attend the Utility Workforce Development – Sharpening Your Skills virtual event from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13. Participants will get an introduction to local utilities, learn of current and upcoming job opportunities, gain workforce readiness skills, and learn about available resources available from community partners.
Utility and community leaders will speak about their experiences and career paths. Participants can attend breakout sessions on building a resume for utility positions, career transitioning during a pandemic, and job interviewing skills. Those interested in joining the utility sector, as well as those re-entering the workforce, looking at a career change, or with transferrable skills from construction, operations, maintenance, and other trade sectors are encouraged to attend.
The event is a co-partnership by Louisville MSD, Louisville Water, and Louisville Gas and Electric.
